The archive,
uncropped.
Every photograph here is shown whole. Nothing is trimmed to fit a frame — no face, no insignia, no nameplate, no standard behind a desk. Select any plate to open it at full size.
I. Service portraiture
Plates 01 — 04
II. The Superintendent's office
Plates 05 — 06
On this group
The office of a Superintendent of Police is a deliberately formal room. The national flag, the departmental standards and the desk nameplate are not decoration — they identify the authority under which every order signed at that desk is issued.
III. Speaking on the record
Plates 07 — 08
Note
This archive holds every photograph supplied for the project. Each is displayed at its own natural proportions inside a fixed plate, so that no part of the subject is cut away to suit a layout.
